Twinport53
My post was merely an extension of thought revolving around the irony of an NUFC fan calling other teams "nothing clubs" when we are 10+ years deep in copious amounts of shit.
Newcastle Fan
West Brom reallly are a nothing club though, they add absolutely nothing to the league. we are still Newcastle United.

I think you are missing the distinction between where a club is and where are club should be. We have been underachieving, where as Stoke and West Brom have been hitting about their level. Darth Crooks
Meh I'll not cry nothing club why we're still slowly crawling out/temporarily escaping our usual stupour.
Stottie
West Brom are the classic example of a yo-yo club who've often found themselves not quite able to stay in the PL. To their credit, they are yet to fall and keep falling, and have succeeded in the Championship when they've found themselves down there. Obviously this is exactly what we too have become under Ashley. That's why he should get pelters in the national press. We were an established PL club before he arrived. It is true that we differ to West Brom in being a fallen giant, but so are Leeds and Villa. Ashley's mismanagement means that this matters less than it should, because the large crowds we get are offset by our poor commercial revenue. Ashley has lessened the club not just in its league position.
Stottie
Oh and Pardew is a cunt, and that 365 stat about scoring first in six out of ten games but only getting one win and a draw is shocking even for him.
NG32
Wonder what it was about the "I live for myself and I answer to nobody" quote that resonated so much? He loves the lime light, loves it but does nothing to justify it. The bloke is stealing a living out of clubs.
Collage
http://www.football365.com/news/premier-league-winners-and-losers-95 Alan Pardew Pardew’s greatest trick is making you believe that this West Brom situation was already a lost cause when he arrived. Such is his emphatic under-performance since joining the club, you might assume that three-quarters of the ship was already underwater, and the rest was sinking fast. That’s actually completely untrue. Pardew was appointed on November 29 with West Brom outside the relegation zone and with 24 league games remaining in their season. The greatest damnation of his reign is that the three clubs below West Brom and in the bottom three on November 29 are all now outside it. Pardew was supposed to transform the mood, and on that score he can at least claim success: Under Tony Pulis, monotony and tedium reigned; now the only talk is of disaster. Pardew’s record of eight points from a possible 51 is sensationally bad. This is the realm of the over-promoted and inexperienced, the Terry Connors, Ricky Sbragias and Steve Wigleys of this unforgiving world. Pardew has won one of his 17 league matches. Pitiful. Pardew’s biggest failure lies in his inability to maintain morale even when West Brom have taken a step in the right direction. His entire managerial ethos surrounds the generating and cherishing of high team spirit, but that has been absent. Take the lead against Leicester; lose. Take the lead against Bournemouth; lose. Take the lead against Southampton; lose. Take the lead against West Ham; lose. In their last 10 league games, Pardew’s West Brom have scored the first goal of the game six times and yet somehow managed to take just four points from those games. That’s relegation confirmed in one statistic. Pardew has now won seven of his last 55 Premier League matches with two different clubs. He should now be finished as a Premier League manager, and would be were it not for the unfathomable lingering goodwill that comes with ‘knowing the league’. A plea to owners of struggling Premier League clubs in this and any other season: experience of failure is less useful that inexperience.
Guest Howaythetoon
That’s an amazing read and should be pinned to the desk of every chairman’s desk even contemplating hiring the cunt of a fraud.
STM
Comes at something when we are all surprised/pleased when we read an article stating the obvious. It's just a shame the rest of the southern press hasn't caught up. Even at the weekend Charlie Nicholas said he felt sorry for Pardew. The mind boggles. We should make a concerted effort to get a journo to ask him about this stat in his next presser

ianovthetoon
It would have been glorious if Pardew had of taken the Mackems down to the third division mind!

Probably gets them back in the PL with consecutive promotions, just in time to take six points and relegate us after Rafa's finally gotten sick of Ashley and left. 'Careful what you wish for'... It's just a shame the rest of the southern press hasn't caught up. Even at the weekend Charlie Nicholas said he felt sorry for Pardew. The mind boggles. Think if all the journos stopped praising him eventhough he's s***, the fun will stop actually. What we need is just a couple of these high-profile pundits, especially those who are exposed to the media on a daily basis, to say he's s*** and one of his loyal supporter say he isn't. Get that debate rolling on forever and at least some people will understand how pathetic he is as a manager. But to be honest, his last two jobs have really hit his reputation bad. Fair enough at Palace, it was the winless run that caught up with him. But at West Brom, everything is falling apart. Taxi-gate, the Chris Brunt row, the handshake snub he had after substituting his best player and the cringe interview he had following up to that incident. Ultimately, a relegation on his CV would be the icing on the cake but won't be the end of him.
