Best thing is they seemed acceptant before the season that they'd not be promotion contenders, had this unbeaten start to give them hope, then all of a sudden they're looking at only having 1 win in 4 and slowly drifting into mid-table just before the international break and still likely to lose a player or two. Lush.

Looked pretty dreadful tonight, got to be said. Brief flurry of closing down and hustling but a severe lack of quality in key positions. They won't score enough, won't keep enough clean sheets and could still lose the likes of Kone in the next week. Leeds out-thought them and after they weathered the first 10 minutes looked fairly comfortable and in control. I'd be astonished if Sunderland got in the playoffs or even close tbh.

Couldn't happen to a more hateful pack of arseholes.

Thought they'd started the season well? Average as f*** by the looks of the table.

To be fair 5 points from the games they've had isn't too bad, especially when you consider where we thought they'd be.

To get 4 points from Wednesday and Norwich away is decent (from the same games last season we got 1 point) so it's an ok start.

Hopefully today knocks the confidence they were building up like and they plummet now

I do miss the fact they're 4 games in already and we haven't played our second yet. I enjoyed there seemingly being a game on all the time.

Agree with this. A full week between matches feels like ages.

Both Norwich and Wednesday are nowhere near at the level they were when we played them last season. It's a pointless comparison.

They've played the teams in 5th, 8th, 13th and 17th and came away with 5 points, hardly inspiring form.
