I seem to remember a time when they were locked in during matches and couldn't leave at HT because too many fans had been doing it. They wouldn't open the doors until 20 minutes before the end and used to be turned back to their seats.

I remember that, wasn't that their lowest ever points season in the prem with Sick Mick?

I think so, a few years ago but they have short memories.

im sure Sir Bobby joked about it once. I think there were people leaving our game early and missed late goals (possibly the Leicester game?) and Bobby joked "who did they think they were watching? Sunderland?

Or something like that

Last night the live video of the match on Facebook got cut short as the poor girl filming it was grassed up. Call me paranoid but there were a fair few obsessed mackems on the live video feed commenting/fishing. Wouldn't put it past one of them phoning in to the ground. I can`t logically see it being a NUFC or Norwich fan watching it deciding to get it cut off.

He's right. The match in question was against Charlton Athletic at the SoS in 2003. They scored 3 own goals in the first half hour and were 3-0 down and 1000s of them tried to leave but they refused to open the big exit gates to let them out and made them stay until the 60 odd minute mark before allowing them to leave. Chris Kamara was doing the match on soccer Saturday and couldn't speak for laughing.

They ended up losing the match 3-1 and finished the season bottom of the league with a miserly 19 points.
