mrmojorisin75
What do we think is the minimum needed to keep us up now, 11 maybe 12 points? Beat minimum 3 of mackems, Norwich, Swansea, Palace, Villa and maybe a point vs Saints. Gonna be tiiiiiight. A point against Southampton well, you have to assume that benny will have some fucking positive effect by then man
colinmk
Rafa is a class act but it would still end in tears, I have no doubt about it.

AlanSkÃrare
His CV is great but fans of Inter, Napoli, Chelsea and Real Madrid seem to hate him. Napoli fans especially. Better than we've appointed in a long time, mind.
Dave
The difference is with rafa, he won't be some sort of spineless PR fuckboy like Pards or McClaren. He'd walk if they pissed him off http://i.imgur.com/ORETsvC.gif

Mick
The concept of them being willing to spend money on the manager and accept that the setup has failed and therefore should be changed is arguably far more important that Benitez himself. It is but bringing in Benitez is the proof of that anyway. He will automatically become our best appointments since Keegan mk2 and will be our best appointment since Bobby if he hangs around. The club and the whole city will get a massive lift from this appointment if it comes off, most of the negativity will go automatically and I would expect us to stay up because our players are not as bad as they have looked. Motivated players will make a massive difference to us and I think we'll see a huge change in our form.

Did poorly at Inter, alright at Napoli, maybe not great, did well at Chelsea, didn't do particularly bad at Real Madrid IMO, great at Liverpool and Valencia
Superior Acuña
His CV is great but fans of Inter, Napoli, Chelsea and Real Madrid seem to hate him. Napoli fans especially. Better than we've appointed in a long time, mind. Chelsea fans hated before there'd been a game, and he did well and they still hated him. Impression was Madrid were on his back straight away too. Don't know about Napoli. Liverpool fans worship him.
AyeDubbleYoo
I would be a lot more excited if I hadn't witnessed the Bournemouth game and we had 5 more to go. If we stay up it could be a fantastic choice.

Village Idiot
His chief concerns, long term, are who will control recruitment, but he is also wary of the fact he has never taken charge of a team in a relegation battle before. Wait, what? He's been involved in a couple of relegation battles in La Liga, when he was still beginning his career. I hate this "his career didn't exist until he took over a team in the PL and we heard first of his name" mentality Incidentally, his track record is terrible on that regard. But that was long ago. Gallowgate Toon
I think we'll still go down, even if Rafa comes in. He's very good, tactically, aye, but that always takes time to get into players. He's not got the short-term motivational abilities to get this lot going as quickly as we need, IMO. Only hope is they respect him enough, off the bat, to take notice and put in the effort necessary. Cracking appointment if it comes off, but miles too late.

Tiotes Witch Doctor
Pete Graves ✔ @PeteGravesSky Work to do, backroom staff to finalise, job 'title' to consider. But Rafa Benitez certainly moved a step closer to #nufc hotseat today.
