joeyt
Janmaats never a winger like - he's great at overlapping from deep. Ritchie stays there anyway but LW is still up for grabs. Go all out for Knockaert or another proper winger, no Anita, Janmaat or any other player who isn't a winger. Knockaert plays the exact same position as Ritchie like, we're absolutely desperate for a speedy left winger Ritchie goes right, he played far better there and linked up well with Janmaat. Get Knockaert left with a new left back imo. But that takes away Knockaert's main skills. Knockaert's played pretty much every game in his career on the right wing so I'm presuming you've never seen him play. We need to stop with square pegs in round holes
Doctor Zaius
Knee jerk reactions after games are hilarious. We have just lost to one of the worst teams in the division like.
Kanj
We have gone unbeaten all pre-season so it's hardly surprising that we started the game with the team that we did. He made the right changes again but they didn't work this time. We'll change things around for Huddersfield and we'll win and our season will kick on from there. Two home games in a row up next. Need 6 points there. And some massive goal differentials too would be nice. Couple of clean sheets and a +2 or more goal scored

We need to stop with square pegs in round holes They can swap rotate etc, we need a less rigid system, with one less defensive midfielder for a start, But i obviously bow to you vastly superior knowledge of all things Knockaert and Brighton, and my quite obvious non watching of football. My apologises.

geordiekris
Thought we played too direct which was never gonna work with Perez and Gayle up top. I think we needed to be more patient everyone couldn't wait to get rid of the ball.

Away Toon
Think his recruitment has been questionable. Hasn't bought the players we need most (LB, Winger, Creative Midfielder and a Striker) plus the players he's bought bar Ritchie were s****. Dare I say it but I don't think we'll go up. If we play like that we won't go up, nothing wrong with saying it.
AyeDubbleYoo
I didn't like the team or the system today, if it wasn't the first game and it wasn't Rafa I'd be massively unhappy. But he's good enough to learn quickly and it's a long season. I do think once the players are all up to speed out quality will show though, we could have even scored a couple today despite how badly we played. Mick
A lot of our players will have gone into the game tonight thinking that they could walk the game. I think tonight will be a wake up call and last season has nothing to do with us possibly needing that as the two situations are totally different. As for 4-3-3, it can work if we have the right players being used in that formation. I think Colback getting taken off was a good move and if it takes a defeat to see Colback taken out of the starting 11, I'll accept it.
Ronaldo
We can expect to see a lot more of this, by the way. Him choosing the 11 almost exclusively with stopping the opposition in mind, as opposed to just putting out the players that theoretically should function the best together. Hughesy
Worried about the lack of ideas in that team - still have a tendency to look like a bunch of strangers.
Gallowgate Toon
Mentality might have been an issue but the lack of balance was the killer. He ballsed up the opportunity - chose to be cautious of the momentum rather than go with it. 3 DMs in this league is frankly terrible. I'm sure he'll switch it up next time. Hence why I don't think we'll go up. Honeymoon period well and truly fucking over as far as I'm concerned. 7000 fans down there on a Friday night and that's what he serves up.... He's had a fucking whole summer to know Colback, Anita, Dummet aren't up to the job.
