Mole_Toonfan
Sissoko playing as a pivot man. Behave Kaka. If not then the guy might have to sit on the bench man. He isn't providing enough in the final third to take up the role he has had. Would rather have Perez and Gini in those wide roles. Shelvey as I sad cannot stay central so has to move further up. Our central midfield is crucial in this run in. Pretty sure Sissoko played alongside Capoue in that Toulousse midfield in France. He did but on that same token, Yaya played DM at Barca and he could never do that now. I think with the right manager and some application on his behalf he could do that but i have extreme reservations on that said application.
triggs
Think the should have gone for someone experienced in relegation battles opinion may have some truth in other situations but with the players we have I couldn't see them responding to Nigel Pearson going radge at them. Rafa building a solid back four and midfield is the best we could get in this situation IMO
The College Dropout
Sissoko can't pass like Yaya ffs.

ScottishMagpie
We've got 10 games to do our best to make him fall in love with us that even if we were relegated he wants to stay with us and bring us back up.

cp40
happy players, bet it was all, sideways looks and wanker signs behind the back when McClaren was coaching.
KaKa
We'll see Mole. I'm really concerned about the use of Sissoko going forward. I guess he could remain where he is currently, but then that would mean either Mitro or Perez upfront for me. Shelvey has to play behind the striker with our current defence in order to tighten things up.

Rafa building a solid back four and midfield is the best we could get in this situation IMO That's so defeatist, if you go for that type of manager you'll always be fighting to avoid relegation because that type of manager is that type for a reason. TheInfiniteOdyssey
Well Rafa's seen Riviere, Sissoko and the rest of those clowns first-hand in training and not resigned yet. Solid start imo.
The College Dropout
May not be happy much longer. Rafa won't take any shit. The players that rate him most don't seem to like him much personally.

Guest Howaythetoon
By the way, I'm seriously now thinking that we have been trying to get Rafa since the Chelsea defeat and that it has just taken this long to get him and his staff in with McClaren an Co. out. There is no way Rafa came to Toon today for talks and then within a few hours him and his backroom team were on board and he was taking training. He agreed to join a week or so ago IMO, not on paper so to speak, i.e. legally, but verbally at least. If so I shall give the powers that be some credit because when you are dealing with the calibre of manager that is Rafa Benitez, you can just about get away with losing a game or two in between if that is what it takes. summerof69
from rawk Rafa was in a bar in West Kirby Saturday Night, a couple of mates were there. They asked the bartender what he was drinking and got a bottle sent over to him. He came over spoke to them and hinted that he was taking the Newcastle job, sees them as a sleeping giant. I told them he was talking bollocks.
Tsunami
Rafa must have been given assurances about next seasons budget if we stay up. He'll walk if those assurances aren't upheld. God, I hope we stay up, pre season promises to be fun. We could see half the squad ditched.
cubaricho
I still can't believe this. That's Rafa Benitez as manager of Newcastle United.
