bowlingcrofty
Sounds more like to the tune of La Bamba to me. Doesn't really fit, but could be sorted. I was joking Liverpool used to sing it with three players, so naturally we've butchered it.

Agree with the comments about the Blaydon Races by the way, annoying as fuck.
Scotty66
Does anyone think he may stay with us if we go down? I know it's absurd to imagine Rafa Benitez as a manager in the Championship but he said himself he see's us as a long term project. I can't see him wanting to manage abroad again as he's been there and done it,plus he turned down offers from abroad before joining us. I have a slight feeling he would be prepared to stay,as he just doesn't seem the sort of man who could walk away knowing that we would be desperate for stability. Knowing our luck,it will be Ashley who activates the clause, just so he can pay some shit manager 6k a year.

If he has nothing I think he'll stick around, but I reckon a few teams next season might need new managers.
Robster
Man, we so have to survive. This bloke is such a class above everything we've had. Couldn't agree more. For me it feels like this could be a watershed for me as a fan. Get relegated and lose Rafa and I think I'm done

Wullie
Mackem Jonathan Wilson's view on Football Weekly is that their only hope of survival is now catching Palace because he thinks Rafa will get us out of it no problem.

He loves to go on about how the whole world revolves around Sunderland are doomed to always be going down and how's he a pompous, albeit knowledgable, arse. TRon
Next up for Newcastle is the Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland on Sunday, when the stakes could hardly be higher. “Every game is important but this one is the most important because it is the next one, it’s a derby,, and because of the position in the table,” Benítez said.“I told the players they have to play without anxiety, because they will make more mistakes. They have to play with great commitment, working really hard, but they have to use the brain and try and play good football. In this way we can create more chances and maybe take more chances.” None of the usual bullshit about it being a battle or the winner will be whoever wants it most. Of course commitment is important, but just as important is making your quality count. He really is a breath of fresh air.

Guest firetotheworks
I've immediately warmed to him like. It makes it that much easier to when he speaks complete sense and says the things that you'd expect someone that knows even a little bit about football to say. It puts you at ease a bit when you read things like that instead of quotes about how it's going to be a battle and so on.
Wullie
Hope they've still got John Carver's old derby VHS tapes knocking around. Don't see how they can possibly prepare without them.

Mr Logic
Pretty much everything about him impresses me, but a standout was after the game where either the possible off-side or penalty claim was mentioned and he just dismissed it. Paraphrased - 'These are things you cannot change so they're not worth talking about'. Contrast that to most other managers whinging on about refs and decisions costing them.
