Pretty sure that Rafa will want someone more proven and reliable. He probably likes Dummett but we will need someone different than him for 1st choice. toontownman Posted June 29, 2016 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Would prefer Caulker over Hanley. If Rafa can get him back to his Cardiff form and back on track we would have a great player on our hands. Still lots of holes to fill. While the press are pushing a LB I wouldn't be too surprised to see us stick to what we have in Haidara, Dummett and Mbabu. I think they would be just fine in the championship. Definitely need a RB though, not convinced by Anita though. Will surely need at least one or two CM's. No way we keep Tiote, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, possibly Saviet and Shelvey too. 4/5 Signings seems very conservative. We will need nearer 8-10 if we end up selling the amount of people that looks likely. Gouffran, Riviere, Thauvin, Cisse, Tiote, Shelvey, Wijnaldum, Townsend, Sissoko, Krul, Janmaat, Mbemba, Perez, Dejong, Colo, Saivet. Obertan, Marveaux, Cabella are already out. Then there are the fringe youths like Vuckic and Sameobi.. we can't rid of them all. If we do we half to replace the majority of them. Have absolutely no idea who will be here come September. We'll obviously try to get rid of Gouffran, Riviere, Thauvin, Cisse, none of them will be missed in the slightest. Then probably 6 from Tiote, Shelvey, Wijnaldum, Townsend, Sissoko, Krul, Janmaat, Saivet, Perez. Hopefully we keep Townsend, Perez and Saivet. If Rafa wants a large squad he would certainly cover us for league cup games and would provide knowledge to younger players whilst also been an option that will rarely be touched on the bench.
