Figures 1-0 Football
Another suitable back-up player to Mbemba and Lascelles, he played 24 times for Hull last season and looked steady.

Guest palnese
No point in signing youngsters on loan unless there's an option to buy.
Skeletor
My Blackburn-supporting mate says that Hanley is ' a bit of a baffoon, mind goes wandering sometimes but played well in a shit team, Duffy is the better of the two.' Tbh I'm just glad to see us linked with players who are clearly being earmarked for their leadership qualities. It's the attribute we're most sorely lacking in. Personally think Hanley has enough qualities for Rafa to mould him into a better player, like Lascelles.
sempuki
Maybe Hayden and Hanley according to this: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-now-looking-seal-11590016
Mole_Toonfan
No point in signing youngsters on loan unless there's an option to buy. Usually i'd agree, but in this instance signing a player on loan who can help us go back up is fine IMO.

Ketsbaia
May as well take advantage of the loan market for back-up players.

toontownman
Written as though it's a done deal in that chronicle article. Good versatility and backup at CB. Might get games at DM if Tiote does leave.

Mole_Toonfan
I asked my mate who supports Arsenal about him.... This is the general jist of what he said... CB/DM, was our U21 captain for quite a while and actually played some games as a 10. A decent defender with okay technique, played better in midfield than at the back. Managed a decent amount of games at Hull last season. One of those who will never be good enough for us but is good enough to have a decent career lower down the table. Based on that i wouldn't be against him being tried as a DM and used as cover for CB if necessary.
Yorkie
Reading a few articles about Hayden; seems that it took him a while to get into Hull's team but when he did he was combative, hard-working and the fans took to him. Sounds like a very bright and honest lad based on his social media too. Glad to see us linked with these characters.
STM
There's a canny left back from Inter Milan who would probably fancy the move.
Guest
There's a canny left back from Inter Milan who would probably fancy the move. First thing I thought of when I heard the mackem move broke down. Wouldn't be surprised if we were in for him now.
STM
Not Rafa's type, I don't think but he's more than good enough for this league.
KDT
His attacking play was pretty poor and his defending was a liability at times, I don't see why Santon gets so much love.

He was majestic across the grass. Another ruined by Pardew's coaching though.

Tiresias
Both sides of the was Santon good or bad are right because he was incredibly inconsistent, he could be fine then have absolute stinkers. I know he never really contributed all that much but i still kinda liked him and I do blame the total non-coaching he received from Pardew and the absymal standards of our facilities for some of the failures of our younger players to improve over time. I always feel he had potential, had oodles of technical ability but wasn't ever suited to any position, the mad idea of him being a midfielder at the end of his time here was down to the fact he was one of the best passers we had but also down to the fact that he never really fit at left back. Sentimentally I'd kinda want to see him back still, but yes totally inconsistent and no reason we can't do better, he just seemed a decent guy who was screwed over by us. I also think he was missed more than people realise, after he had gone we had so few players who could pass 2 yards in the final third our attacking got worse even if he was never clearly a supplier of goals personally. Pardew reckoned (and still does) that the ability to pass teh ball is overrated and you just need cloggers all over the pitch, Santon was doomed under him (and ok he could never really defend) but our play was worse without him.
