huss9
if rafa is desperate to raise funds there's few players other than perez or the centre backs that are going to raise big bucks. think shelvey's value has dropped but we should get double figures for hayden and ritchie. its a case of whether he can get a better left wingback for the same price. AyeDubbleYoo
I’ll answer that, he can’t. We’ll need to invest to improve, not sell to buy. The squad is already the absolute minimum acceptable, except maybe at CB.
David Edgar
No complaints today. Seemed to be making the right passes.
Newcastle Fan
What a fantastic game today, did not stop running and working for the team.

CPL
Sounds like he's off based on that interview.
toontownman
No doubting the commitment, leadership and he has quality. It is why I wasn't happy about him being linked away last season. I get why he needs replacing though and likewise at his age and character why he wont want to sit as a squad player.
Anderson
Brilliant today, as good as he's been all season.
TRon
He's a good pro, but one of those who will need upgrading if we want to kick on next season. Harsh after a couple of decent contributions lately, but true.

Benwell Lad
Brilliant today, as good as he's been all season. Awesome When the game turned against us in the second half he became the main driver to keep it together and turn it back round.
themanupstairs
I've been a critic of him and still think we need to replace with better. Having said that, I'd have him in the team if he could perform the way he did today consistently. That header leading up to the 3rd goal sums up his desire and determination. Immense. I've never really been a critic, he has a great football brain and a great right foot. The only issue is his lack of pace which means he doesn't really scare the opposition. Compare him with Miggy on the other flank for example. Almiron has no assists or goals as yet, but he puts the fear of god into the opposition with his pace and dribbling skills. They can't push up with confidence in case he gets in behind them. Like he did today when he should have had Ward-Prowse sent off for desperately bringing him down to stop a goal scoring situation. Conjo
He had a really good game. All over the pitch. Generally did the right thing when he had the ball. Started the attack for the second by playing Rondon through and sacrificed himself with the assist for the third which came at a crucial time seeing as Soton was all over us at that point. If it wasn't for Ayozes hattrick he would have been my motm.
Anderson
Still going full pelt 80 odd minutes in, chasing them down in their own half. Might not be the fastest player, but fuck me he's got some engine on him.
Stottie
Great block by him. It must be hard for him playing there but puts in a shift. I still expect him to sound like some other radgie Scotsman though, David Speedie etc. for older readers. Gets me every time.
Happinesstan
Credit to the lad, he's worked his socks off. People need to remember that when we signed Almiron our entire game changed. It wasn't just Almiron who had to adapt, the whole team has had to do the same. Ritchie has played, very effectively, for a team that lacked the kind of elements that Almiron brings, it's no wonder his first thought isn't "right, where's that nippy little bugger?" Shame Almiron has got injured because we were beginning to get there. Thought Ritchie and Almron linked up lovely to set up Ki's chance.

joeyt
It's not the first time Tron has thought he was right footed
TRon
I knew he was left footed obviously, I was just being generous and praising his right foot because he's a great lad and a model pro.
Greg
But he basically uses it to stand on and nothing else? He'll cut back onto his left or use the outside of his left before using his right foot.
TRon
Well the last post was just slightly tongue in cheek.
