I remember him as a central midfielder from his time at Wigan and West Ham. Only seems like he got pushed a bit further forward when he got to Hull, which carried over to us. Think he's definitely better as a CM than AM.

He played well but I generally wouldn't have him in midfield unless it was in a three, or like today where the opposition are pretty shite and slow themselves.

Much more like it as a midfield presence today, got in the way of their play time and time again. Well done Mo!

Eh? I thought he was totally anonymous. Like Alan Smith in his prime.

Just checked, he won 8 balls in the air, more than Lascelles.

Bit easier to win a header against Joe Allen than Peter Crouch though like.

There were a couple of headers late on when they were launching it where he did beat Crouch.

Aye he did, one of his better games, seems like Rafa has said close down and keep it simple. He didn't try to dribble too much today and played better for it.
