I think he'll do fine, he's only going to be up against championship forwards. His pace out wide is going to give us a much needed attacking threat. To be fair, that is the case for the vast majority of full backs. At least he has the recovery pace needed should he be out of position. It's a pisstake when we went so long with Williamson as near enough first choice and wouldn't commit financially to one decent centre back...even more of s pisstake that £15m on 1 or 2 defenders would have saved us last season.
