Really happy for him. He's very determined, and not someone the opposition can sleep on now.

Said it quite a bit but he’s a fantastic squad player to have - a real wildcard to have when we are short in numbers like today when at least 3 players in front of him are missing for various reasons

He seemed to be involved with or created 5-6 chances. Shifts the ball a lot quicker than any of our wide men. It’s either out his feet and whip it in. Or he cuts in and looks for the square pass and he’s off again.

Some turnaround. Gone from being a bit of a joke to one of our better performers the last month or so. Just from a few cameos and a couple of starts.

He could easily have at least 2 assists last night and I actually think he would have started even if Almiron was fit tonight. Must be easier for the attackers knowing he will whip the ball in first time. Happy for the lad and I'm more than happy to see him start against Man Utd. Was it him doing the dance with Wilson at the end? Any gifs if so?

Big chance for him to shine now with Almiron out. Plus Gordon will probably miss Man U or might just be on the bench. ASM has some fitness issues by the sounds of it.

So Murphy is going to get some good minutes. Anderson might be in a similar position.

International break has probably come at a bad time for him personally. But let’s hope he picks up where he left off.

Man U next and despite only playing 15 minutes. He was probably our best player against them at Wembley.

Genuinely surprised at how good he’s been in the last couple of games, keeping in mind some of his previous dreadful appearances. Love his directness and willingness to put crosses in the box (which Almiron rarely does). Having a right foot is obviously an advantage

We’ve all criticised our strength in depth, but for him to seamlessly replace Almiron is definitely a plus point. Hope he can keep it up and be another player reinvigorated by Howe.

I love how direct he is. Usually, our players will be dilly dallying with the ball down the flanks and in the corner, trying to work their way into the box. Not this lad, he'll run down to byline and whip it in. We need to get used to having players in and around the box to receive it now. Ironically, think Ritchie is one who has a similar playing style, direct and goes to cross it in.

Him against Luke Shaw that turned up against Liverpool, plus some of his shithousery is going to be fun.

He always had the attributes in terms of his speed and his crossing and shooting ability. But always seemed to lack the self confidence and belief.

But he was a real outlet last night. So much so I was going mad when Howe took him off for Ritchie. However that might have more to do with knowing Ritchie would contribute fuck all.

But hope he keeps his confidence up because there are few players faster than him when he plays with conviction and he has an excellent cross/shot on him at times.

The simple fact he can cross the ball with his right foot is a massive bonus... Gives the defenders something more to think about and will create more chances for the forwards

Then when they set up for that and play defenders to run him down the line - swap him out for miggy
