Form is temporary.

We have Rashford, Sancho, Elanga, Garnacho and Pellestri in the first team squad as wingers. Martial also had his best form with us on the left hand side.

Three or four other positions that are far, far more important.

Is it temporary when it's going on for over a year with no sign of improving?

Hardly strikes fear into the heart of the opposition.

At least two of those names you've made up.

Was certain Gibbs-White was ex-Arsenal, can't be the only one? Most Arsenal academy graduate sounding fella never to actually have been with them

They had a Gibbs and other players with double-barreled names, so easy to get confused.

If you are over 50 like me, you probably still associate double-barrelled names with posh people.

I think Rashford is finished at Man U, he needs a fresh start.

Tablespoon of Garnacho into a dog bowl of ramen with tuna, plastic cheese and fries will change your life. Honest word.

This is exactly what I was thinking yesterday.

£60 million for a 30 year old midfielder doesn't seem like a great move. Surely, there must be a younger version that can be had for that price.

That Ibrahim Sangare at PSV for example is available for around half of that I think.

They could have had Pogba on a free…

Even at £50m it is still an insane price to pay for a player of his age, especially considering his alleged drop in form in the league last season. You could be stuck with an unmotivated old player on insane wages for the next 5 years who will not want to leave once considered past it by whomever is in charge at Man Utd at the time.

It's £50m + £8m in performance related bonuses.

He's also arguably the best CDM in the world and we are desperate for one. It's a no brainer if he's willing to come.

No he's not

Cracking player don't get me wrong, and he will do well but he's not the best in the world.

Look, you're all going to find negatives with anything the club does so it's a pointless exercise debating against it.

We're about to sign arguably the best CDM in world football, top 5 at worst. It's a huge signing.

You've had this same attitude with so many players now

Key point i think is that he wasn’t the best DM in the world until they were linked. If, for some reason he stays at Madrid he will tumble back down the DM global leaderboard ?
