WHU have a serious squad now with some decent options in midfield and in attack. Moyes has done a good job there, I can see them wanting to aim for top 6 this season or/and a cup, which they could have achieved last season. They are our benchmark right now.

Moyes is shit mate.

If anything this is the best way as you'll get him for dirt cheap next season when Moyes gets them relegated.

He’s redeemed himself at WHU, it’s his Everton, I do think they have a poor season in them or rather he does as it’s usually a good season then bad season with him, but they will be up there fighting for a top 6 place. Dunno about you guys mind… although Dub’s should help you on that front!

Cracking signing for West Ham. They've spent around the same as us (on an already better squad) this window alone than we have since the takeover, so they are going for it. I guess it could be the same with Bruno, Botman, and Isak depending on how we get on in the next couple of years, possibly year in Bruno's case, but it does seem a kind of stepping stone move, a couple of years at a reasonably high profile PL club, finish in and around 7th, prove myself and then move on to a top 6 club (or us, or perhaps both) in a couple of seasons.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on, and yes, this forum will be watching on with great interest

It does make you think……..can’t be about his ability, could be personality. Who knows?

He has bags of ability, a great work rate, can play in multiple positions. On paper it looks a no brainer for even the top four sides. Perhaps that stint at Milan has put sides off?

Was pretty widely reported that we asked about Paqueta back in January when we went in for Bruno.

Become pretty clear that we were never gonna pursue him this summer for one reason or another, but it's not like the link was entirely created by this forum either.

Looks more like salty tears than the truth tbh. The West Ham link has been going on for a little while, so it's not like it's something that was hashed together in a matter of a day or two.

I think we were interested, amongst others, but decided to prioritise a striker of similar profile/calibre in Isak this summer rather than a central attacking midfielder.

Paqueta in front of Soucek and Rice is potentially one of the best midfields in the league, depending on how Paqueta adapts of course.

Wonder what the add-ons are. West Ham have fooled them well if the main bulk of the add-on fee is linked to Champions League qualification.
