Other clubs' transfers

Feels like there's so many teams that are going to be in the relegation fight this year:

Luton and Sheffield United naturally.

Burnley have a bit more about them but still look way short of quality.

Wolves, Fulham and Everton are a mess

West Ham are struggling to sign anyone

Palace have lost their most influential player

Forest are a complete unknown quantity due to how many players they have and only just scraped together to stay up eventually

And it does look like Bournemouth have done decent business but you'd expect them to still be lower half

Wolves seem to have decided to hit the suicide button for some reason.

Brummie, what are the long term goals of your owners in term of both on and off the field? Do you know motivations they have?

Win things. Sawiris of the two has become the most involved day to day (based in London, whereas Edens is US based) and is not an acceptor of crud (sacked Carpethead on the spot after Fulham last year, sacked Purslow, brought in some real heavy hitters behind the scenes.

And of course, grow the value of the club, whilst making it the centre piece of a multi-club portfolio.

These guys bought a distressed asset, we were literally hours away from administration thanks to that fucking chancer Xia (Lerner's final act of derelict stupidity not seeing through that muppet).

Thanks for sharing the insight as always.

Be a good signing for us. Him, Kyle Walker-Peters and possibly an option up front (and ideally a new second choice keeper), and we're in an exceptionally good place.

Wanted us to make those exact signings. Fuck's sake your lot will be trouble. Re-hire Gerrard, ffs.

First time having for sympathy with west ham mind, replacing rice with such a clogger.

These are great signings for a Moyes style of play.

Could see both doing very well at West Ham.

They'll be a nuisance to play against. Especially if they also find Moyes a more robust striker and a winger on the left that is more convincing. Barnes would have been perfect opposite Bowen for Moyes.

The guy I feel sorry for in all of this is Paqueta, as I think he'll feel increasingly out of place in the team.

Out of interest, what are your fanbases thoughts towards Lerner nowadays? Good, bad? As for a while things where pretty decent under him weren't they? And then debts started to pile up and he put in less and less time and money which ended up seeing you getting relegated? Can imagine the two conflicting periods causes a weird juxtaposition in the head of fans.

Why? Genuine question. Do the Saudis have part-ownership of Fulham?

Unless I have got it wrong, was he not a free agent who turned down an offer from SA, signed back up for Fulham and then they are potentially going to get a transfer fee for him?

Good then very bad.

He got divorced, found a new girlfriend who didn't like football, and he just totally withdraw for years.

Basically, a bit like Everton in terms of neglect except without the big spending.
