Forest are increasingly trying to take advantage of that market, as the value is so good if you can figure out who is good enough to make the transition to the Prem.

Will be interesting to see how they get on. Will be incredibly annoying if they do well, as it's probably costing no more than £50 million between the lot of them.

Isn’t there still something about playing for the national team?

Think they just need to have featured for a team in a certain calibre of league and the Brazil top league qualifies.

There's only Murillo who has been a hit so far they've signed from that market

We're right to steer clear of cretins like Viega. Choosing to go to Saudi at 21 is a major red flag.

And yet he’s coming back to Europe at *checks notes* 23, having won the AFC CL, and a helluva lot wealthier than he would’ve been.

That’s a great deal, I’d have been happy with him.

Hes a big upgrade on Flekken for the feet ability alone.

Flekken’s distribution is brilliant.

But not as good as Kellehers, in my opinion of course.

Also, I find the Cunha deal a bit strange. Amorim has been quite ruthless in his approach of weeding out the bad attitudes and egos only to have replaced them with another..

I can understand the Saudi teams having to pay inflated wages to get players to go over there but the inflated transfer fees make no sense.  If a team will accept £50m, why are they steaming in with a first offer of £80m+?

Ego.

Lots of Twitter chat that Mbeumo will go to Man U, looks like they could be offering him big wages.

And that's our problem. We could probably  spend 200m on fees.. but our wage structure won't allow the kind of wages the likes of man utd, Liverpool can offer.

Annoying this would be such a good move for us

this is this summers Hujisen deal mark my words

It’s just a stupidly good deal. Guy will be moving on to a top European club in January, guaranteed.

Clubs obviously scared he’s lost his mojo after moving to Saudi at a young age, but that will be shown to be shite as he delivers an output he was doing at Celta Vigo that originally had likes of Man City / Barcelona interested.

Meh, it’s time for Nickson to start getting creative again. It appears we’re shopping in the same pool as the ESL wankers - I noticed Liverpool and Man City are both chasing Ederson from Atalanta, Cunha obviously gone to those reprobates, Mbeumo, Guehi etc.

Rather than getting dragged into these transfer sagas for established players where we inevitably lose out to stratospheric wages and PSR constraints, whilst wasting time, where are the next batch of our stars? Bruno, Botman and Isak were all on the radar of others but we moved quickly and decisively. I’m struggling to see why we wouldn’t roll the dice again in that £35-£50m bucket in the overseas leagues.

The Brazil market gets overhyped far too much it’s laughable. Rather we spent £40m on three British players who are better.

Could rattle off 15 names straight away that have moved in past 24 months and done fuck all, and cost probably like £300m. Then people will go ‘yea, but Murillo and Vini Jr’.

Like us for every Wharton, you’d have a Johnathon Rowe. And that bottom player is infinitely better.

Really wish we'd tap into the South American market.

Forest fan at work said Lyon bought some of their players in a previous window which helped them out of a PSR bind.

Botafogo are owned by the Lyon owner so reckons this is them helping them back out.
