Yep, he's a proper talent. I think he's far better than Chalobah was at that age, and he hasn't done too badly for his career.

Tyrique George I'm less sold on being a talent. CHO IMO is the benchmark and he doesn't come close.

Come in and blow Palace out of the water for him. Sell the Gordon, Hall and Tino pathway to becoming an England regular. Champions League football and no gentrified twats in black t-shirts cosplaying as continental ultras.

I'd take Robbo until the end of the season. I'm well aware that I'm in the minority.

He’d have to be willing to accept a massive wage cut.

So would I but he wants to sort his long term future out so it's a permanent move he's after.

Be gutted if this move happened - class player

It’s going to be well annoying when the media make out what a great story Arsenal winning the league is and how they’ve broken City and Liverpool’s stranglehold on the league.

Totally ignoring the billion quid they’ve spent and football that should see Arteta sent to the Hague to stand trial.

"Soulless" as in the Ownership and decision makers.

From the outside it looks like you've bought some highly rated youngsters and hoped it would all work out eventually.

Our ownership is soulless? Easy there, tiger

It’s just like I said, we’re currently missing a proper DoF, our CEO and ownership is a bit of a mystery and our Head Coach is becoming a concern. Until we fill these posts and let guys settle in it’s all going to be a bit up in the air. That’s what transition is, it’s just that we’re undergoing more transition than almost any other club without a complete change of ownership. It’s a weird situation.

We bought all those young guys under Levy - it’s generally been our way for 20+ years because we didn’t have the money our rivals had. That’s what you had to do to be successful. Then towards the end of Poch’s reign we failed to revamp the squad properly, which he was pissed off about. We’re playing catchup in that respect.

The belief is that Lange’s speciality is finding young gems. The hope was presumably that they could develop under Frank and with experienced heads around them. Then some of those heads got injured but ultimately the squad wasn’t good enough to allow the kids to breathe and learn. The concern is that Lange’s really just a glorified super scout and we need a proper DoF to knit things together.

I don’t worry about the soul - the fans and the long-serving staff and the spiritual “club” will take care of that. I worry about the competence.

The fact that Arteta's playstyle is so rancid that Mikel Merino is actually a viable option for them at striker proper winds me up [emoji38]

They'd have walked the league this year if they had Alvarez, mind. They might still do anyway.

Was he crying about leaving or about his intended destination?

Can’t rule out he caught glimpse of his ‘hair’ in a stray mirror.

Relieved that Villa went with Abraham, rather than a good forward.

If I were supporting a team playing Villa in the cup in the next couple of weeks I simply wouldn’t make this opinion public.

Oh you actually meant it. I thought you were baiting me.

That's an interesting take. He was a world class DM for 6-7 years in my opinion and even now he's performing at a high level for us. He's not as good as Busquets, but that's an extremely high bar.

He's been an extremely good player, playing over 300 games Real Madrid proved this.

Won't be remembered fondly by Man Utd fans I'd imagine. Performances nowhere near outlay

He's been there 10 years, is 36 and probably wanted to retire there. Id be gutted too. He will be settled in south Yorkshire.
