Menace Posted yesterday at 10:48 Share Posted yesterday at 10:48 Double edged sword really, good player but his wages will throw clubs off and rightly so. He was very good for Barca, although I can see why they're not willing to give him a multi year contract with his wages and his age.

I agree 2 or 3 years on the free market but don't blame manu for not wanting him walking for nothing. 25/30 offered to barca seems more than fair but the package obviously player wages (no idea if they were getting his full wage supplemented or not) plus a 4 or 5 year deal I can see why they would prefer to be cheeky and do a loan. May depend if they get another taker if he has a good WC I can still see someone paying a fee for him.

Optimistic Nut Posted yesterday at 11:28 Share Posted yesterday at 11:28 I'd only have him here if he was cheap and Barnes left. Think he'd be a good Barnes replacement but don't want both as the options for LW.

KaKa Posted yesterday at 11:39 Share Posted yesterday at 11:39 What's even funnier is seeing all these clips of Man United fans (and other "top club" fans tbf) squealing about how "ridiculous" the market is because of the fees being quoted for Tonali, Anderson, West Ham's Fernandes and Scott at Bournemouth. The unmitigated gall of them man

The unmitigated gall of them man They don't understand it's them who actually benefit from these sky high fees. They've inflated the market to a point only they can shop in it. Everyone else literally has to gamble.

But at the same time I'm happy everyone is forcing them to pay through the nose when they show up. At some point it's going to start to backfire. It's up to the other clubs to continue to evolve and improve on their ability to identify and sign players from elsewhere at better value, with the huge fees they're ripping off those clubs for. The College Dropout Posted yesterday at 11:48 Share Posted yesterday at 11:48 Many factors of course - leadership being in shambles and rapists and everyone knowing it about it being number 1 - but a major reason for West Ham's relegation is £20m-£Max Kilman transfers flopping. Not being able to absorb that has got them relegated. So for a success - they need major money.

The College Dropout
Re Sancho: one of those where it looked a bad deal from game 1. Lad has talent. But he doesn’t have it. Now he’s had the taste of big money, he has to chase the bag over finding the right fit. If he even wants to do that.
