It only fucks us over if an English team also wins the UEFA Cup.  The rules are a maximum of five teams; winners of the European Cup and UEFA Cup qualify for the CL groups automatically.  If two English teams win the big two UEFA tournaments, the 4th place team misses out

That's nailed on to happen now

I've posted this before - same time last year no doubt - but I worked with Migs (the player here) at a school in Walthamstow for a bit. He gave me a pair of his old Adidas World Cup boots for a staff v student game which I used to summarily scythe down Jamie Evans, the mouthy gobshite.

Can’t understand arsenal wanting Jorginho, he is the exact opposite of what they are all about as a team.

Older cooler head in the middle of the park to see them through the last 20 minutes of games?

Injury cover? They're light in terms of squad numbers and he could step in for a string of games.

Experience is vital and if he costs them 6-8m what's that if they win the league?

They lack depth. It's the main reason people gave, including myself, as to why they won't win the league. The signings of Trossard and Jorginho are adding quality strength in depth. I'd imagine it's quite a low fee. I think it's a good signing.

With Eriksen out injured I'd have been happy if we showed interest as well. It's not long term.

Jorginho could just bring the right amount of big-game experience within the squad to see them clinch the title.  It's an astute signing at that price.

Wouldn't be giving them 12, but I guess circumstances change cases. They may see it as vital cover and who else they getting with that skillset and experience for that money (regardless of contract length)?

Well done Arsenal, giving Chelsea twice what a player's worth.  Knobheads.

Arsenal and Chelsea have a weird little relationship like - they love a leftfield, frictionless, sideways transfer between their two clubs.
