Can you guys not just automatically trigger his extra year option or does he need to also agree to it? I feel like that's a stupid question as you'd have already done it by now, but you never know with Man U these days

So as of right now he can talk to and agree a contract with another club. If that was to happen, we can no longer trigger the extension. You would think it's coming this morning. Unless a new deal has already been agreed.

Elliottman
Pretty mad Trent is leaving for nowt. How much would he realistically be worth? How much are they losing out on? £50mil?
wyn davies
I want to see Man Ure, sell nobody and drown in the pool of their own making, meanwhile NUFC rise above the shower of sh*te and get two or three really decent players to help us on our upward trend. But I think Trent is way more than a £50m player There's no defender like him in football, and whilst I don't think he is great defensively, but he's part of the reason Liverpool have been so competitive the last several years, alongside Salah, Van Dijk and Allison
Lotus
TAA is a truly gifted ball player. It’s odd how below average he is at defending. I’m sure he’s had loads of specialist training sessions to improve but it just goes to show, no matter what you do some players just appear to have a limit on growth. Even with something like positioning and basic defensive decision making.
St1pe
In a PSR era I think Liverpool should sell him in January. He’s gonna leave at the end of the season for nothing and they’ll win the title with or without him given they’re the only club that is even remotely consistent. I’m sure it’s even better for PSR selling home grown players too right? If he doesn’t want to be there flog him for something, win the title anyway and benefit in PSR terms. It’s a win-win for them.
