Not bad options up front Madison and Kulu play in midfield for them. Solanke plays centre forward. Their wide options are Johnson, who is rubbish, Son, who is not the player he was, and Werner who is worse than rubbish.

They have the funds available to do so aswell.
ponsaelius
The £30-40 million bracket on proven players but still on the up has been the sweet spot for a while. That's where Liverpool have generally found their consistent value, and generally so have we. If they don't live up to expectations you don't lose out hugely in re-selling and there's still room for increase value if they're a hit. The lower end of the cost spectrum it's harder to get first team CL quality and tends to be more high quantity speculation (suits a club like Brighton) while higher than that it's much more likely that you get flops which lose money. The way the liquidity is being pulled from the market through PSR I think that value sweet spot might actually fall in coming years unless something changes because transfers fees are going to deflate. In this sense I would understand a policy pivot under Mitchell to more value signings as we build the squad.

To hold a first team spot at Real Madrid through that particular decade is absolutely unreal, but feels like he was never appreciated at all in the wider footballing world, and no-one here knew much about him despite our obsession with Barcelona and Real Madrid. Now he's just seen as a bit of a joke. I wonder what history will say about him down the line.

Just had to pay him astronomical money and the wrong point of his career.
