Parkinson has a decent record at that level doesn't he? Few promotions on the CV, got Bolton up under a transfer embargo, got Bradford to the League Cup final beating premier league opposition along the way. Not sure why the fans are seemingly so disappointed, they're a League One playoff side FFS.

He has more relegation's to his name though.

Takeover isn’t happening, would be new owners quickly realised what it says in the brochure isn’t quite the same as what it says in the books. I suspect the true ownership of Sunderland isn’t as defined as would seem, the Don and Co have effectively assumed control of the club for nothing on the basis they will take on the responsibility of running the club in a way creditors get back some of the money owed to them eventually, all while they juggle the upkeep of the club which they have successfully managed to fuck up royally because there is no money for anyone and even less for the club. What’s even funnier is they themselves have even less money. In fact they have nothing. Unless they find someone whose money will pay off the debt owed to others they have leveraged parachute payments and future Premier League income income against, pay to fund the club to keep operating as they are and pay whatever it takes to get the club back into the Premier League, they are fucked.

Now who would agree to such a deal? Only the desperate, the chancers, the fraudsters in it for a quick buck would take this on. Someone like the Don. Oh wait!

Any would be investors right now would effectively be paying to own a house they will still have to pay rent to live in, not fully owning the freehold, just some lease and it’s the same at Newcastle and why any serious bidder has walked away. 300-350 gets you Newcastle United, but it’s will take another 100m to get you free of debt personally owed to Ashley, another 100m to get you free of any commercial contracts tied to his other interests and another 100m to upgrade the stadium, academy, coaching, scouting, facilities and so on to that of rival clubs. And then add another couple of hundred million to improve the playing squad just to compete to stay up. Is NUFC really worth spending 1 billion on?

Is Sunderland worth spending 50m on? If it was, the likes of the Don wouldn’t have ended up with it in the first place. He will eventually get out well up, the club changing from his grubby hands to another joker, another chancer, another fraud, because no serious investor would pay 50m or whatever for something that in reality will cost 3 times or more than that to take on.

But hey, at least the Don has a drink with fans in their local, gives the fanzine sound bites, hates the Mags and replaced a few seats. Never mind the 10m that’s disappeared from the club into his pockets, the money he will earn if he finds some mugs to come in or the cooking of the books that hides who is owed what, when, how, and where the money will come from to keep things running because the Don doesn’t have any, well he does, but that’s his for taking on Sunderland, it’s only right he gets rewarded financially.

Glad to see you've come away from the thinking that NUFC was a good buy at £350m and potential owners were knocking us back because they were shady chancers with no money. We were always overpriced in reality, that is the only reason there is no takers.

Such underwhelming comments.

They'll lap that shit up all day long man. A crunching tackle gets a standing ovation and legend status. Effort, running graft and leaving a bit in once the ball has gone. Easy to be a Sunderland hero. Talent not necessary, just put yourself about like Baaaally did. Sorted.

Kevin fucking Ball, man

Says a lot about these inbred backward cunts when they hero worship a bang average 2nd division clogger and refer to him as a legend. Fucks sake it's like us giving the same kind of adoration to someone like David McCreery

No it’s not. McCreery was a great player, way above Ball.

Got an horrendous cut on his leg against Bolton right in front of me. Think it was a NYD and thought I was going to throw up. 60 stitches.
