Another FA cup final. This time against world-beating Tranmere.

The fact a league two side got to final shows how little clubs take it serious. So the fact they somehow believe they’re a big club and took a non-competition like this dead serious is pathetic beyond belief.

Didn't realise last year's final between Portsmouth and Salford is being played the day before theirs

That is so stupid.

So what would've happened if one of last years finalist qualified for this one as well?

They'd get double Papa John's loyalty points and be eligible for free garlic bread.

They put so much into this FL trophy every year they cant see its costing them promotion.

Accrington slipped ahead of them in the league unnoticed, they are now out of the play off and if teams win games in hand will be 4 points adrift .

Every year this fucks them up , they just dont see it

"Wembo marra. When was the last time the mags were at Wembo"

That's all they're bothered about saying. As if it's some sort of achievement we should be jealous of that they are in the final of the papa John's trophy. They're totally oblivious to the fact that we would need to get relegated TWICE to compete in this competition but for some reason think they're getting one over on us.

It's incredible

I've seen virtually nothing all season on Facebook from red and whiters and it was all about "Wembo" again last night and photos of them winning the Trafalgar Cup even though they won't be there this year!

Some of my Mackem mates going on absolutely ridiculous on Facebook, like.

I wanted them to win it last time because their name on that trophy would be hilarious. When Bruce takes us to League One I’ll be hoping Blackburn Rovers reverses beat us in the first round.

Eh - didn’t Short write this off?!

‘The Don’

“When we entered into negotiations with Ellis Short three years ago, Sunderland was nearly £200 million in debt, was losing £35 million per annum, and had all but been relegated to League One. Our plan was to work hard to turn around the finances of the club, put it on a stable footing and to get promoted back into the Championship. I am proud to say that we have achieved what we set out to in terms of SAFC’s finances”
