Was just going to post this.

It seems some of them have actually realised, they're just fucking shite, whilst others still believe sunderland are everyone's cup final.

I'm sure when I looked last season, I proved it was 'a myth' that teams lose their next game after beating Sunderland.

So this season, they've lost to:

Burton - (lost next game)

Portsmouth - (lost next game)

Charlton (won next game)

Rotherham (drew next game)

Sheff Wed (drew next game)

Lincoln (lost next game)

Bolton (won next game)

Doncaster (lost next game)

Cheltenham (won next game)

So 4 of the 9 teams who've beaten them have lost their next game. They make it out as though they all go hell for leather against them and all get gubbed next week.

"It’s not a myth. Teams undoubtedly raise their game against us because they are desperate to beat Sunderland. Every shit team that beats us usually loses and it gets hammered the game after because they revert to being shit but with added fatigue from trying their hardest to beat us. It’s not even up for debate tbh."

Jesus ha that's some grade A delusion right there.

The daft thing is that they'd be devastated if the other clubs didn't treat them like a Cup Final. They seem to tell as many people as possible, as often as possible just how fucken massif they are whilst simultaneously crying about teams raising their game against them.

They're just a bang average L1 club now and they're getting smaller by the week. Until they wind down their overinflated opinions of themselves they'll continue to chase mangers out on a yearly basis. Remember the huge table of ppg for the whole of 2021? They were 3rd behind only City and Liverpool - not good enough marra. They chased the bloke how achieved that within weeks of it being published. They're toxic as fuck.

It’s getting to a point now where they’re essentially a Sheffield Wednesday or a Nottingham Forest, a decent sized club with a big fanbase dwelling in the lower leagues. They’re what I expected us to become under Ashley, in fact if the takeover never happened we would be on our way to join them with Bruce “running” the show.

Forest are massive compared to Sunderland.

Always said Sheff Wed would come good. They should be winning the league, but from this position this is exactly where you don't want them to be (if you're wanting play-off promotion) They are now converting wins from draws and have remained hard to beat all season. Quality wise they are without question top 3, its just down to whether they get their shit together. Unfortunately for Sunderland, it looks like they have done just that at the worst time.

Sheff Wed go to the final, where its anyone's game. But in current form you'd fancy them all the way.
