Superb interception in the second half to prevent them on the counter attack, one of those you have to time well or you clatter the player. If he missed it they were in on goal.

Was a certain goal if he got it wrong. Perfect timing

If he genuinely has yet another head injury/concussion. Then it is a really bad look on our part that we didn’t flag it and get him off the pitch.

I’m sure similar happened in the cup final against Man U and it was used as a reason by some. Plus he seems to get a knock to the head every week. So it is surely something he is susceptible to?!

If there's a risk of concussion to one or two of your players (for instance if two collide) then you should be permitted to temporarily substitute them for a period (15-30 minutes?) and then reintroduce them if they clear all thorough tests. If they fail tests, they count as permanent concussion subs under the current rules.

We let him down today, should have been subbed straight away.

Fucking hate how football treats head injuries, miles behind rugby and at least rugby is actually trying to make progress.

Can't remember, but did we get him to play on after a head blow against Liverpool before subbing him off?

He's had two early in season now. Can't be good.

We need stricter protocols with head injuries.  Clubs, associations are opening themselves to massive liability cases imo still.

Lad next to me said he'd be fine after that hit in the head.

Bonkers.

The amount of people who STILL underestimate the impact of concussions is insane.

You might feel okay but your brain is going to be scrambled eggs.

100% this. You get to sub while the proper checks are carried out. Then if the player is ok you can bring them back in. Utterly daft you have to play with 10 .en while they do they checks, so of course they will rush it then see how the player goes, risking serious damage.

Genuinely worried for his long term health.

Give him proper time to recover from this.

Yeah. He's always been prone to head bangs but he seems to be getting hurt worse and worse by - relatively - lesser and lesser things. Not a good sign.
