Unbelievable
Credit where it's due, Joelinton has been the diamond in the rough these last few games. Still don't see a PL striker in him, but he could yet serve a purpose to this club, which is more than I imagined before Howe came in.
jonny1403
Should be starting every game now. There's a good chance his attacking play will improve as he grows in confidence/has more players around him as well. He was linking up well with Fraser, ASM and Wilson before Clark fucked it all up. SiLvOR
So happy to see his performances improving, and the confidence growing as well. He doesn't hide at all, always wants the ball, and loves getting stuck in. Would love him to score a screamer on Saturday, but I'll settle for a tap in
The Merse
Never thought I would say it but he was on a rampage down that right wing egged on by the gaffer and looked technically and physically a level above - really never thought I would say that

That was the best I’ve seen him play and he seems to be responding well to whatever instructions and coaching Howe and his team are instilling in him. Let’s hope he can keep it up. He's so similar to Felliani without the niggly elbows. Midfield suits him so much better
Dokko
His performances before howe were on the up but the fresh start has benefitted him and Shelvey the most. Really happy for him. Must have been a difficult time for him at least he can go out the house and hold his head up high.
TRon
St James faithful got right behind him by the end, and that's all you really need to say. He was never going to score yesterday, but with 10 men what you need is someone to keep running and keep fighting. He did both.
nufcnick
I really think he has found his new position, on the right of a midfield 3, he was in full on beast mode when he was dropped into there when we went down to 10 men last night
toon25
Playing out of his skin atm. Kudos to him.

Bompeter
So many basic, mis-placed passes. Absolutely brutal stuff from him.

He still put a shift in and he wasn't alone in being sloppy with the ball. He was nowhere near being brutal today.
worthy
Insane shift defensivly, well done Big Joe, Howe has find the perfect use for you as a defensive winger.
Pilko
Excellent again I thought.
Unlucky Luque
One of the top 3 players again. Puts a hell of a shift in, but is sluggish in the final third. I think we just have to stop looking at him like an attacker and expecting him to perform like one.
gazza ladra
Is there a site that shows -- game by game -- average position for a player? I keep getting the impression that he's a midfielder now.

Shak
So yeah, having given it up when Rafa left I hadn't seen this guy play til a week or so ago. Looks a good player, not sure what you lot have been on about the last few years
Kid Icarus
Exemplifies everything Howe seems to be looking for from everyone. Honestly plays like a silky DM that's just in a different position. Edited December 4, 2021 by kisearch
Amir_9
He has graft and football brains, its just that his ability wasn't for what we thought we were buying initially. Would have loved if that cross that was coming his feet's way in the box wasn't intercepted - would have been a goal. Has the fight in him for a relegation battle, for that reason alone needs to keep starting. Edited December 4, 2021 by Amir_9
nufcjb
Can we not have him in the middle with Shelvey? He wins more balls than either Shelvey and Willock.

If we can get Willocks form turned around like we have with Joelintons, we're laughing. Laughing.
