People get frustrated when he attempts to take on 3 players in his own half, despite a pass available, and then loses the ball and we concede or are under pressure. As everyone acknowledges, he has talent. But he’d be a far better player if he knew when to release the ball and when to try one of his majestic runs. Nobody cares about ASM trying things, he just needs to learn when to do those things, to release the ball when multiple players are trying to crowd him out, and to be more engaged when we press. He’s have enough time to beat his man on the left and still cut back in on his right. Pretty much always gets crowded out when he drifts too far inside. Poor for an hour or so.
