Definitely legit and she's explained the reason for a delay..

Great way to endear yourself to a new owner, by setting up a parody twitter account that tweets anti-trans jokes

At this point I'd even accept Bruce being kept on and given a "proper chance" until the owners realise he's s***, if that's what they decide they want to do.

Oh come on.

I mean yes, I'd accept it. I'd accept being kicked in the balls to get rid of Ashley too, but it'd be f***ing horrific watching Bruce being given an army of superstars and grinding out a 9th place finish whilst the media crow over how he's turned the club around.

Just f*** no. Get rid of him on day 1. End of season at the very latest if they want to just get over the line and get someone new in the summer, but he should be sacked as soon as humanly possible and someone less resembling a human cabbage placed in charge instead, because anything else will be utterly galling.

Why buy a Ferrari just to put a three-legged post-roadkill stoat at the wheel?

Not saying it's my first choice scenario clearly but yeah, I could probably take it on the chin and in good humour for a year or so knowing that the long game is going to play out so much better. I'd probably take some smug satisfaction as well from the reaction of his mates in the media as he utterly fails and they realise appointing a stottie cake on legs as manager instead of someone that knows what they're doing is in reality a s*** idea.

To take the analogy further it would be a bit like watching a three-legged dead stoat driving your ferrari and crashing it into a lamppost in the smug knowledge it doesn't matter because you can afford to replace it with a hangar full of ferraris, aston martins, lamborghinis and porsches. It's frustrating in the short term but a bit funny and in the end there are no real long term consequences.

And if he somehow manages to succeed?? f*** me, look at us, we've got a dead stoat that can drive cars.

Towards the end of writing that I had a flashback to our fans singing "steve bruce is one of our own" and "steve bruce gets 3 points everywhere he goes." :anguish:

On reflection I've reconsidered and nothing other than a public booting out on day 1 shackled to the rock of shame will do

Few of my favourites bought from Rehills in preparation, this better be announced soon as they are already calling me from the fridge.

 what did you get?

I’ve driven past that shop, god knows how many times and I’ve never been in. Is it good? Everyone seems to rave about it.

They didn't have the Torpedo I was after :(

Houblon Chouffe for the moment it's announced, Kwak, Westmalle, Lupoloid, couple of standard moretti so I can keep my hands off the others :)

Oh, and a gulp English IPA impulse buy near the counter

If you like craft beer/real ale then it's pretty unrivalled in the local area, my favourite place for beer by far.  They do amazing fresh onion bhajis as well, like mini footballs.

Rehills is one of the things I've missed most whilst being housebound.

We've hardly been out for the entire lockdown so it doesn't feel appropriate to drive down there from the coast just to get my paws on some artisan beers, but their selection is magnificent and I really miss browsing it.

Absolutely! Like you, it's not exactly on my doorstep but it's well worth the drive.  Due to the lockdown I'm slumming it with 6 bottles of brown in the fridge for when the announcement breaks.

I used to like Glug on Grainger Street. Same it had to close.

Same, used to love the place.  Think once they left the grainger market it was never going to work.

Place in low fell called the rare drop, only went in once a while back in it was decent, not sure if its still open actually.  Just opposite the Beaconsfield.

Nord in Whitley are doing deliveries I think.

What's the queues like there on a side note? Might make a trip across.

I've been past a few times as it's on one of my exercise routes and there's never been more than 1-2 waiting. Opening hours are reduced though.

What's everyone planning on drinking when this is announced? I don't really hate the #cans thing, but this definitely call for more than just beer. Picked up some really cheap champagne and Lagavulin 8 almost two weeks ago, been waiting for the announcement ever since.

Grabbing a keg from the brewery on Thursday for the Friday announcement. 165 cans.

Might go to the chemist tomorrow and buy some viagra to ship to Mike[/member] so he can celebrate.

 Y'aint shit.

Centrale should have a shout out for its beers.

As should Coppers of Gosforth.

Usually use Rehills as it's about a 45 second walk for me.......dangerously close.

Back to the football.....my brother just phoned about 20 mins ago to say he was on the A1 behind 2x top spec Ranger Rovers with Saudi flags on the plates.

Coppers is at the bottom of my street, literally.

Definitely ('hic') dangerous . . but seemingly I like danger !!!
