I remember in an interview he talked about how people wanted him gone in 2022. "Am I really that bad?" he thought. The next season he responded excellently by scoring 18 goals which got us into the CL. It's okay to want him out, and we should probably move him on now, but point is that players sometimes pick up on posts like that one. Chris_R Posted June 30, 2025 Share Posted June 30, 2025 Despite his injuries I think he's generally been brilliant for us over the years, in lean times and in good. However it seemed to look at the back end of last season that his legs had gone, if that's the case then there really isn't a decision to be made. Stottie Posted June 30, 2025 Share Posted June 30, 2025 Two years ago, he was great and helped seal fourth. His goals to minutes played was up with anyone in the league. Last year we had PSR issues and injuries all across the squad, so I understand him being kept, even if there was some decline and definitely long absences from Wilson. He now looks a shadow of himself, it does look like the injuries have finally taken their toll, so it doesn't look like he can contribute at the level we need.
