If he was someone late 20s where the talent was there and you want to try and hope it clicks, yea fine. But in 30s, broken, there’s literally no point. Not like if he did string some games together we’d want to give him a 2 year deal.

Been a superb signing overall.

 

Along with ASM, kept us in the league during a very dark period. Don’t think it’s a wild exaggeration to say we might not be where we are now without his goals.

I think we wanted him to stay, but he doesn’t want to stay and be second fiddle at best. Especially on a lesser type of contract.

All the best Cal, no doubt his goals has saved us from relegation in the bad old days and helped us to CL first time. 

 

Think he would do himself justice retiring and take his handsome face into a media job, seems an ok pundit/podcaster.

None, they're not a thing and never will be.

Been a great player for us but definitely the right time for him to move on. Will be remembered fondly for sure.

 

Hope he can go and score a boatload abroad or in the Championship.
