ELLIOT ANDERSON IS WORTH $45M AT THE VERY ABSOLUTE MAX.

If I see any cunt on here mention £100m again I'm going to actually put my head in an oven. Fuck me.

We'll see about that after the next World Cup..

Is that a promise? £100 million.  Also he's worth more that £45m, he's a player whose spent his entire career just getting better and never seems to stop improving, we sent him out on loan and they loved him and it improved him so much then we kept him train and be part of the first squad he got better again, we sold him and he got better again. A big team could be forgiven to think he may not have reached his ceiling yet.

I can't shake the feeling that he's destined to end up at City where he will promptly embark on a Kalvin Phillips career path. Huge shame if he did. One thing is guaranteed he will move on for an inflated fee, as others have said even in this inflated market he's at most a £50 million player.

Is he really that good? He’s had a great 12-18 months at Forest and played well for England but I just don’t see that something that makes him extra special. Goals and assists aren’t everything but he doesn’t do that either. I’d absolutely have him back like, but the fee will just get silly. Miley is already probably near enough just as good albeit different players

He won’t be looking great for Forest for next 4 months because Dycheball is tragic for CMs like Anderson, but it’s for England where he will show his talents.

When he’s been put in a side with other top talents, he’s looked better himself but importantly, the best out there. Just makes it all tick and that’s not something any average midfielder can do. The World Cup will be what seals his move and prices him out from moving to us.

I'm still not sure how good he is.

It was beneficial to talk him up though. Selling both Anderson and Minteh looked to be our first major misstep in the transfer market. After several windows of barely putting a foot wrong, we finally had the vindication that some craved to call out Eddie and Andy Howe.

Thankfully last summer has provided a smorgasbord of players who haven't achieved perfection from the off and one that, with enough abuse, could up being our first real dud. Absolute dreamland.

I'm also in the camp that talks of £100m is just daft.

There's probably a comparison to Guehi here. A few good games for England (against mainly dross) seems to massively inflate the value of certain players.

Not to say either player isn't good of course. Just don't think they're necessarily at the level some seem to think.

A players worth what someone is willing to pay for them, simple as that. If man U, city or someone pay £100m for him then he's worth it if they don't and over less then he's not and he's only worth their top bid as that's market value.

Well yes :) To a point.

We for example might ask ourselves is Elanga worth £55m? (Who incidentally is another player from that high flying forest team of last season)

We cannot give them Anderson for £15m, buy the Greek keeper for £20m, buy Elanga for £55m, then buy Anderson back for £100m.

That would end me.

Especially when he's worth about £50m.

I think he's massively overrated and will never be good enough for an elite club. Miley is a far better player even at this stage in his career.

100%.  One of the most depressing aspects of football in the past decade is ‘neat and tidy’ midfielders suddenly commanding exorbitant fees.

I would take him back when Joelinton leaves.

Wishful thinking, I see Howe wheeling him out attached to a sackbarrow a la Hannibal Lecter well into his 40s.

Anderson has done really well when he’s played for other clubs, but never made much impact at NUFC.

What makes people think he’d come back and buck that trend.

Some home town lads just aren’t destined to be a home town hero.

Our fans just don’t seem to want to accept he’s one of the top midfielders in this league. Showed it again on Saturday against a really good side.

We won’t be able to afford him though, but he’s the type of midfield profile we need to sign in summer, which can then push Bruno further forward.

There's also no need for the cope. He's developed into a fine midfielder and we should be happy for him. He's a true genuine fan and left under instruction when he wanted to stay for the betterment of the club.

We could do with a similar profile but it won't be him. He'll get a move to a top 6 team if he goes this summer. I just hope he goes somewhere where his career will be better than if he joined us. Forest will price him out of a move here.

We’re currently writing off Tonali after a period of bad form yet we’re saying Anderson has instantly become one of the top midfielders in the league after half a good season. Suppose we can always backtrack again in a few months.
