I remember vivdly Matt Le Tiss's interview with Sky after they sacked him, it was so full of arrogance and delusion of grander, that his team wasn't playing a style that Southampton expect and therefore he had to go. If that was indicative of the general fan base, then they've totally deserved what they've got this season and Mark Hughes as manager now.

I know on paper those games we have look worse that what we’ve had recently I feel we have got a moment of form and confidence that there is no reason why we can’t on a game by game basis have confidence of getting something out of every game.

 

We could conceivably end the season at 10th.

 

13th at worst.

 

Great comeback season all considered.

 

If a buyer is genuine, they can start negotiations Tuesday.

They look tricky, but other than Stoke - none of those teams have anything to play for (or wont have by the time West Ham play them).

 

It’s the time of the year where top/midtable teams put their flip flops on and the teams fighting relegation pick up wins. Whilst based on name those fixtures are tough, West Ham will end up being fine.

Ah, imagine if we didn't plateau when Jamaal was injured.

This thread would be the EUROPALEAGUEOMETER.

 

0. Think it's been clear since the Man Utd win that we weren't going down.

 

Only in hindsight. Despite that win we had an abysmal home form and kept drawing with teams around us.

Well Slimani won't be available next game so its Gayle to fluff away any chance of winning, but after that I hope you're right. It would be nice to finish off the season on a high and break the 40pts mark pulling away from the battle at the bottom...just think we're due a poor run before the end and have some tricky fixtures.

Point at Leicester would be superb. If we can pick up 2-3 points before Brom i'd be buzzing.

Defence getting a lot of credit - and rightly so. It has been our stronger hand, after all, and we've now won five PL matches 1-0.

 

However, it is also worth noting that we've scored in all but one of our PL games in 2018. Our upturn in form up front has been good to see.

We've only lost 3 games (against Man City and Liverpool) since before Christmas, yet we are going to lose 4/5 out of our next 7 against teams who don't have anything to play for. Makes sense :lol:

As we relax, we will surely get better. The Spurs game is the only one which I reckon we will get beat comfortably in, the rest have potential for points.

 

Really looking forward to this run in, at worst we will stay up and at best, who knows, might get 10th.

 

It's put your feet up time, despite what Rafa said about 40 points.
