Absolutely bossed that. Not always pretty - but not boring at all imo, controlled, assured, dominant. Little nervous at the back at times, but we've also not conceded a goal all tournament. Love this team like.

Is Rio Ferdinand's beard painted on ?

I normally turn the sound off for that shite, but I’m running with the iPlayer with 5Live commentary, we get Chris Waddle inputting which is always a good thing.

Very impressive, clinical performance that.

Ukraine were absolutely woeful, but we put them away as comfortably as you could have hoped

The only slight grumble is the unforced errors from the back line really.

I really want to echo what others have said here about the composition of the squad, not just from a footballing perspective but from a personal point of view because they are a squad to be proud of in terms of the men they are. They all appear to be so approachable, grounded and likeable guys and that's right through the entire setup all the way to Gareth Southgate and his team.

It couldn't be further away from the days when the squad was full of the likes of Rio Ferdinand, John Terry and Ashley Cole. Just remember that Sam Allardyce was England manager and who knows where we'd be if he didn't like brown envelopes so much.

Regardless of whether England win this tournament or not, we've got a side to get behind and be thankful for.

England the first time to score three headed goals the Euros.

First team to go 5 games without conceding.

That was England's Highest ever win in the knockout stages of a tournament.

Southgate is now the most successful men manager in knockout games (winning 4 games)

Feels like a very Rafa esque  approach we've adopted. Such a solid foundation to work from when we barely concede any chances. With the attacking talent we have starting and to call from on the bench we are a seriously scary prospect for any side to face.

England are effortlessly upping the performance levels as the tournament progresses. Winners of tournaments are not often the ones whom dominate from the start but the ones who peak at the right time.

Southgate, every decision, every substitution seems to be the right one. He now has Grealish, Sancho, Foden fresh for the semi-finals and finals if needed.
