I just want to see that cunt forced to walk out of SJP, carrying his overflowing box of personal belongings under his arm through a tunnel of sneering fans.

I'd like to see that too, although he'd have to be fully clothed. No-one needs to see penfold's little tiddler as they hoy cabbages and piss bottles at his thumb-heed

Not a massive fan of her then saying it does depend on the league. Pre warning them we intend to move as soon as possible seems like a sure fire way to get them to stop us before we can.

They cannot stop us, and they know that.

The only mention Amanda made of anything "depending on the league" was in relation to the "speed" (or otherwise) with which they deal with things - thats all!

Don't give the EPL any credit for being able to DO anything that we don't want them to, ever. They know we have the legal power to stop their craven attempts at cheating.

Can the other clubs actually stop these sponsorship deals going through ?

I doubt it, but their rules allow them to reduce the figure taken into account in the FFP calculation from any related party sponsorship to a fair market value.

Determining what is a fair market value and/or related party is probably going to be a legal minefield for them.

It seems their plans for the club (off the field). from when they were all but about to buy us over 20 months ago will be easier to enact than it has been in getting a manager in as things no doubt changed massively on the playing side in between that time. Off the field I can see lots of things happening sooner rather than later, like sponsorships, upgrading facilities, planning on a new academy, upgrading the scouting and coaching network below the first team etc. Exciting times lie ahead for our club, I think I’m just as excited by what happens or could happen off the field. There has been 14 years of criminal neglect. Shearer said the academy and training facilities haven’t changed since he last played bar the odd lick of paint, that says it all!

No, of course they cannot, but they will most certainly try !!!

I'm fine with the sponsorships being limited to actual value. Yeah they're changing it because of us, but still it's a good thing its changing and they're atleast trying to do something to enforce FFP.

Weird though that they’ve only tried to enforce FFP since our takeover, fuck the lot of them.

I am and I’m not. If they can apply retrospectively to other clubs who’ve already benefited from it, then yes. But in the same breath, why should we lose out when trying to catch-up with the rest of the league?

I dont think it's "weird". Yeah their reasons for it are selfish, but looking at the bigger picture I think it's necessary for the game.

E: Plus I actually have no interest in us splashing 300m in every window and shortcutting our way to the top. Rather see slower controlled development of the club and infrastructure and work our way up there in the next 10 or so years.

Their timing is actually the corrupt thing, which is why they will not be able to get away with it, not at all, wait and see.

It sounds like the PL know it won't hold up beyond the 5 week suspension unless it's ratified properly and not rushed in to see it as a way to stop 1 club. This means there will be a window of opportunity for us to create deals which they want to block then going forward play by their rules.

If so we may see so daft money coming in to the club very soon.

As long as a fair market value allows us to match the largest deals currently. Even then trying to cap this would be a legal nightmare and put the league at a disadvantage with competitors.

More than likely they’ll look to concoct some calculation based on clubs current income, aimed shamelessly at restricting our growth whilst still protecting their income.

Anyone who hasn’t got a problem with this hasn’t been paying attention for the last 18 months. They’re corrupt, jealous and now terrified of us.
