No manager of Newcastle should be serving up those two second half capitulations in a week. At least Barcelona are fuckin good. Utter disgrace. It wasn’t just lack of effort or desire, it was a total mess.

Was expecting a reaction after that shameless second half Wednesday. And this is how we turn up? This was the game to react, and we fluffed it big time.

If he gets the credit for the cup win (right that he shares it), he has to take his share of the rotten games. He's not untouchable and it's insanity to keep blaming the players and recruitment...when it's the same pattern coming from him.

Defeat at home in the derby, is fucking bullshit. He got owned by the opposition manager. Second half fall-off is all on his inability to adapt, in-game.

Absolutely embarrassing that.

Still think Howe is the man and should oversee a rebuild in the summer with the appropriate backroom team in support. The success of the season nor his tenure shouldn't be decided based on 2 games, and what he's achieved to date should give him leeway.

This'll be my last post of the season, I've enjoyed the most successful period of my lifetime a little less because of how much I proper hate a growing number of my fellow fans, it's not healthy. Can't blame anyone for being rightfully furious after that, I am, but there'll be more than a few secretly delighted which is absolutely fucked.

Not to mention his web design and UX skills

The only thing holding this club, and city, together.

Lose him and I'm gone.

Maybe his pals and sycophants in the press conference might grow some fucking bollocks and actually grill this man for once.  Absolutely shocking stuff in a season full of shit performances.  Zero excuses not to turn up again - fuck knows what he says to these players at HT.  We look uncoached and utterly disjointed - and worse than that unmotivated.  I hope he has a better plan for next season than spunking even more money on a bunch of athletes - and I’m really starting to think he shouldn’t be here next season at all.  Raging.

Not a chance. We are plucky little Newcastle who should be grateful for whatever we get.

I don’t trust him to spend any money wisely.

For that reason alone I sadly can’t see why he should be in charge after the Fulham game.

^This.

If the club have any doubts about him for next season, we simply cannot give him the summer, with spending and bringing his players in, just to get rid after a few games if its going shit shaped... again.

Thats what the club did under shepherd, and it just ruined a season. If there are thoughts of getting rid, and the club have someone in mind, it needs to be done so a new 'head coach' has a full pre-season and recruitment is aligned for that person.

Season is over, who fuckin cares about the last 7 games of the season

Financial department and recruiting probably hinges on it to be fair. But it is Howe and anyone that is rooting for him that should care. While we inched further away from it we still have a chance for europe.

Not qualifying for Europe's given our spend and no cup is the ultimate fail from big expenditure. With European qualification I can see him saying himself. Without it I think ownership is fully justified making a management change and there will be few people legitimately arguing.

These last 7 games are everything for Howes future imo.

He’s absolutely done now.

We aren’t getting Europe and we aren’t going down so the club now have two months to get a top class replacement lined up.

Absolute crossroads moment for the club. Fuck this up and it could set us back for years.

Dyche?

Whilst every other PL team, who are unsure on their manager, will be desperate for Howe.

Terrible loss for him. For the first time I am starting to think we need a new direction. I wouldn’t actually be that surprised if he walked end of the season.

Defenders saying he's not the problem I'd say he is.

We aren't adapting we still play open reckless football the team has regressed.

We have two strikers bought for massive money that cannot get a look in in howes system, he can't find a way to integrate them I wouldn't trust him with a tenner never mind the transfer kitty.

Whether people care to admit it or not I expect there are more people that are ok with Eddie not being here next season than not.

To Eddie's aid we dont have owners that understand the fan mindset here so I doubt he is judged from these two derby performances.

It hurts, it should do. But how we react next game and after will decide his fate.

Disagree. Losing a home derby to the mackems in a season-defining game is the moment.

These are the games that history looks back on and says “that’s where it turned.”

If that doesn’t decide his fate, nothing will. No coming back from this.

Think he should be there, but he should get what he is given and not have much of a say.

We cannot continue with just building a team of athletes with very little technical ability.

I think Howe cares deeply and does his best, it's just that his best - tactically, transfer-wise - is just very limited. This season has highlighted all of that.

Unfortunately I think he'll need to go if we're to take the next step.

Even more unfortunately, I'm not sure we have the ownership or executive to lead us there, which is an even bigger issue than the manager.

Do we seriously have a 3 week international break now? Marvelous timing 🙃

The summer window well and truly fucked us. It looked bad at the time, it looks worse each week. Not sure where we go from here, zero faith in anyone running the club to do anything right come the summer tbh.

I expect they would want him based on previous years tbf. I’d rather he stayed but he’s had a really poor season and probably needs to rethink his methods.

It’s because opposition managers make tactical changes at half time and it totally exposes Howe’s limitations. It’s not a fluke or accident, it’s clear as day and has been there throughout his time with us and during the rest of his career, both good times and bad.

Yeah, I've been told it's good for him and he'll learn from it.  But if he needs to learn from some fucking no mark Sunderland manager I think maybe we can't afford to wait.  We're desperately trying to build the club, we need a top manager who doesn't have glaring weaknesses.
