Late nights, alcohol and smoking stopped him being an athlete and when you weren’t much of a one to begin with then that few % stopped him being effective at this level. Injuries/lifestyle prob fucked him Remember an u21 game (probably in the u21 euros, but might have been a qualifier), between England and Wales. Two players stood out head and shoulders above the rest, the CMs for England and for Wales. Remember looking up who they were, and they both played for bloody Arsenal.
