Hopefully it’s just an agent making noise to get his client the best deal with us. Geordie Ahmed
I totally get why under Ashley people were angry, bitter and pessimistic but for people to still be so dramatic now is ridiculous Though I guess it might take some time for old habits to die

That's nothing new to this club like, most clubs will come out and say stuff like that for any transfer that ends up in the press.

STM
Sometimes putting a touch of pressure on a player via the media isn't the worst thing anyway. I remember when FS told everyone that Micheal Owen had agreed to join Newcastle, I thought it was a masterstroke at the time because it essentially made it impossible for him to back out. Obviously it turned out shite but made sense at the time.

JonBez comesock
It’s impossible to keep a transfer under wraps in this day and age , as soon as a club is interested (the agent/club ) tell everyone to drum up further interest.

Can't blame anyone for making noise, it's that time of year. If he did decide to go there (which I doubt) then he wasn't the right player for us anyway.
