If a young player loses the motivation to keep improving then they're inclined to go backwards. They don't stay on the same level, like they hope. If he can get his ambition back, he'd be a good buy. He is on the outside of one of the most talented England squads, that has a chance at going the distance in Qatar. Got to think he wants to get back and be involved. That said, if he wants and England call up would mean not moving to Newcastle obviously lol Also just realised if we get Bakker, at 21 years old he shouldn't count towards PL squad limits should he? Seems to have started around half of their league games, so not sure if he's been injured a bit, or more of a squad player for them, and if he sees this as a step up being in a better league for a club with big potential (and wages), or to possibly kick start a career?
