Ikon
Don’t see this happening but you can always dream.. His playing style would unlock so many possibilities. His game would pull the opposition defence out of their shape and create so much more space for Isak as well as our wide players and midfielders making runs into the box. He would give us so much more variety and x-factor and a closer option for our CM’s to feed progressive passes between the lines. He’s got everything more or less despite not being the finished article yet.
Kanj
In a hypothetical world, is Isak the furthest forward and Hugo is more of a roaming stirker?

Think they could be quite fluid both of them. But yeah I see him as slightly more withdrawn as the creator. Coming more deep and starting the attacks allowing Isak to be further up more often. They can both do great things. I also like the idea of having another body in the box when we cross the ball in. He’s very decent in the air. Yeah, I was wondering that too. I don't really follow the Bundesliga, but how did he do with Marmoush before he went to City? I've heard they did 4-4-2, but also 4-4-1-1. Chelsea are literally what Brighton are, but on a higher budget. They bought delap to flip him in 2 years time for double the price. Eh? If you can consistently get enough interaction, then yes. That account has not far off a quarter of a million followers.

JP
Don't know if its years of Ashley neglect but I simply can't see a world where we have both Ekitike and Isak in the same squad. Don't get me wrong it would be unreal.
NWMag
“Deal on” to me means it’s happening, yet it’s not even got its own tweet. really grates on me the wording used by journos
Hanshithispantz
Hopefully Liverpool want an out and out number 9 with Mateta which is giving us a bit of a free hit at Ekitike.
Geordie Magpie
Surely if we spent 86m for ekitike on top of the 55m on Elanga with us needing a centre back & goalkeeper then we will end up selling a player like Gordon if Liverpool bid big - unless we still sign a centre back and push back signing a keeper for another year? Kid Icarus
My brain just won't let me believe this is happening like, it would surpass the Trippier, Isak, and Tonali signings in a way.

HayDen Traces
I won't get excited until he's holding up a toon shirt. I think as soon as we negotiate a deal, Liverpool just step in and take him.

Could be that, a bit like the Isak deal, Frankfurt have softened on their "Release clause or nothing" position. Alternatively, we've identified a GK/CB who is either well under budget or available on a loan-with-obligation. But yeah, there's always the chance we've got someone on the way out. It takes corroborating of multiple sources before 'deal on' can become 'here we go'. You need to trust the the near-three years of tradition since this gobshite supposedly became the Oracle.
