NSG
Would be a great signing to allow us to flex between 433/4231/442/352 with relative ease. All for this.

The Bundesliga negativity is a little blown up on this forum. De Bruyne, Haaland, Son, Dzeko, Sane, Firmino, Marmoush, Berbatov etc.... Also being French, it was his dream move to PSG. Don't doubt for a second he would likely choose Liverpool if they outbid us. However the fact we have wanted him for a few years now and are coming back again has got to factor positively though. It wasn't right at the time but hopefully 3rd times the charm.
Chris_R
I really REALLY don't want us to sell Isak, but I can't see how this deal makes sense unless we do, because we're desperate for younger legs in central defence, another central midfielder, and probably a goalkeeper far more urgently than we need a €80m striker. Sadly.

Newcastle United are on the verge of finalising an €80 million ($93.3m) deal for Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, sources have told ESPN. Ekitike's agent Ali Barat is currently in Newcastle to iron out the last few details, sources said. The signing of the France striker would break the transfer record for the club after Alexander Isak's €70m arrival three summers ago. Personal terms have been agreed with Ekitike over a five-year deal and the 23-year-old is ready for his medical. His former club Paris Saint-Germain will get 20% of the transfer fee. We obviously have a tactical plan for him and aren’t just interested because he’s the latest fashionable name. Howe’s also helped young players improve and establish themselves in their national teams. All positives for us.
