Ekitike is not a 10

it'll be ..

      Gordon-Isak -Ekitke-Elanga

                Bruno   Tonali

    Hall Botman  New CB Tino

                     New GK

With Hall and Tino inverting into CM

Can’t say I’ve seen much of him aside from YouTube scouting but he seems to take up a lot of deep central positions and dribble from there plus the same on the left?

Is there an Ekitike thread on RTG yet ?

In with the Isak thread. He's shite apparently but they've never heard of him. Hoping we'll get a PSR points deduction etc. etc. 😄

If he were to come and on the occasions they'd play together they could drift deep as they both like to do, one drops the other stays higher. Could be lethal if they learn to play off each other.

I am also in the camp that doesnt see how this is pulled off with both Isak and Gordon staying put with further areas to improve.

there are lot of games coming up it will be huge fixture list between August and January once CL draw comes out, but 125m or so on Ekitike and Elanga on paper doesnt leave much for GK, CB, midfielder unnless there is serious income from sales which aint happening from the deadwood.

We, and the sports journo’s haven’t a clue what are budget is, fwiw we’ll get a CB too.

Him and Iask would be the best partnership in the league  :sweetjesus:

I have a theory, which may be wrong, but perhaps the club, privately, have decided to go all out this summer, whilst 'keeping their powder dry' publicly, as they would.

Maybe they have decided to spend what they like (within reason), and just see how the chips fall at the end of the season, with the Man City case outcome, and how that affects PSR/FFP going forward. :dontknow:

We had/have the funds already in place for all of those signings. Shipping out Longstaff helps massively with that extra CM.

£125 Million outlay is £25 Million of our budget in PSR terms (due to amortisation). It's well doable, obviously wages on top and we have to cover it next year etc. But we got £30 Mill for Kelly/Miggy so it's basically free 😂.

Possible moving for Ekitike (more money than planned) is why we are holding out for more money from Longstaff/Leeds.

This is a good analysis of him - think he'll be the perfect foil for Isak

I really REALLY don't want us to sell Isak, but I can't see how this deal makes sense unless we do, because we're desperate for younger legs in central defence, another central midfielder, and probably a goalkeeper far more urgently than we need a €80m striker. Sadly. :(

Alreet, you ray of sunshine. Almost every journo who's talking about the deal is saying Isak is staying [emoji38]
