Poor lad just looked like he wanted the pitch to open up and swallow him. Earning 100k a week being fucking dogshit in what is supposed to be your job does not make me feel sorry for him personally. Its hard, he earns a crazy amount and thats not his fault, but still. Prior to coming here I had thought he was just a muck and nettles striker who actually put stuff away when he got the chance. Maybe he just scored all his goals against us. Every game seems to drain his confidence further - he’s a mediocre centre forward who simply doesn’t fit our game plan, and chucking the bloke on every game just isn’t helping. There’s no point being a striker if you don’t score goals - he doesn’t even look likely to score goals. He looks petrified to be playing for us. Should have netted at least once against Leeds and ridiculous miss tonight. Nice header for the first goal can’t be denied, but on balance he just doesn’t appear able to score goals at this level.
