Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Recommended Posts

Don't care how many forwards other teams have. We need 3 because:

1. Wilson has paper legs and misses 50% of a season.

2. We don't have wide forwards who can play a false 9 or even play legitimate striker roles.

Why do Forest need players on loan, have they not bought like 25 players since being promoted?  Suppose if they need striker cover, it would be good to loan them Wood over the alternative because then he'll be cup tied and leave them light upfront for the final :bluestar:

Good luck to him.

He came in when we looked nailed on for relegation, he tried hard and never complained or hid, not the best player but put the effort and commitment in.

I would always cheer him if he plays against us, one of the good guys, ultimately not good enough but not his fault, definitely not a Michael Owen ex-player.

Hoping for a wide forward type, that can cover as a 9, if need be.  It would be great to have a genuine option to come on for Miggy and perhaps more of a goal threat than ASM/Big Joe/Little Joe if played wide left.

Howe and Ashworth have both referenced shifting players, before we bring anyone in.  So let's hope this sets the wheels in motion.

Wouldn’t be against taking Emmanuel Dennis on a short term loan the other way. Allows us a bit more time to find a replacement and strengthens our negotiation position when we do

A bad egg apparently.

He's just looked overwhelmed since he arrived, he knew he isn't a £25m player and was signed out of desperation, I think that's weighed on him.

He did the job he was brought in to do in contributing to us staying up and good luck to him, it's not his fault he's not good enough for the level we now play at.

Nothing from Hope/Edwards/Douglas/Ryder on this at all. Proof they know nothing and dont have an inside track to anything we do. If they knew something it would be corroborated or denied by now.

Wanted him to do well, but that miss against Wednesday was the last straw for me. Utterly horrific finisher.

Absolutely agree. Like him as a person and he has a good attitude but an expericed PL striker really has to hit the target at least. I think the worst thing is we know that miss wasn't just a one off, he would miss in that situation regularly.

Good luck to him and hope does well there to make his move permanent for him and us.

We need more consistency here, especially considering how teams will be looking to park the bus against us.

Just waiting for them to say he’s going and we aren’t currently looking to replace him

Loan him to Forrest - he scores winner against Man Utd in Semi and then sits out the final against Newcastle and we win !!

We should loan them Pope for their semi finals and recall him on 1st Feb.
