Honestly, think he was put in a tactical quagmire today. 

 

You can't have him play six and attempt to take risks against a team that counters as well as Liverpool. Either drop Joelinton in there to screen and shift Bruno up or have Tonali do it. 

 

If I have one criticism of him it's that he's desperately trying to make them 1-2s happen and they just aren't. I also feel like I see three or four instances a game where he's asking for the ball in space and not getting it.

Shouldn't really have been either. Longstaff isn't good enough for games against the likes of Liverpool. We need to control the ball...despite Bruno's fuck up, he helps with that mostly and far more than Longstaff.

Can't say I'm on the same page as others saying he was ok before the error. I was going mad at his misplaced passes even from the first half. There was one where he misread a simple Tonali pass that they got an attack going with.

 

Even Schar has his hands up with that error he mad at the end. Poor.

Bit of a knee jerk, he didn't put his stamp on it is all

Thought he looked on it in the first half, back to Bruno of old. Whole team looked timid in the 2nd half, so not going to blame him for the result even if he made a crucial error.

I think he was good in the first half, but as all others, not that good in the second. And it was he's mistake that that led to the 2nd goal. Too many times now that he has lost the ball in those sort of areas. Don't know, something needs to be done about it.
