Shak Posted May 7, 2023 Share Posted May 7, 2023 (edited) In terms of a player playing below what they're usually capable of, has to be up there with the worst performances a Newcastle player. Like it would have been a notably bad performance for Matty Pattison Panicked on the ball a lot, got caught in possession multiple times, gave away numerous stupid fouls, fell over a few times and had several really tame shots. Obviously everyone has bad games but it's not nothing that he produced it in such a big game for us. Hopefully it'll be a rare bad day in a great career for us. When he first came, he was flawless on the ball, at a time when adjusting to the league and you'd expect him to get caught out more. Anyway, he's still class.
