Shit offer that. We weren’t serious about keeping him.

Well there is a wage structure for a reason. Otherwise I'm sure we would love to match cartel club wages and offer 300k to all of our top players.

Yeh fairs.  But if we are serious about keeping top 6 level players, we are going to have to pay top 6 level wages or somewhere approaching close.

Agreed the alternative is a conveyor belt of getting players who  could step up from clubs where we take a chance and pay better than what they are on and they come and then move on within a contract cycle or two.

Its going to be a constant issue likely for a number of years to come while revenues catch up. Even then once we do pay better wages its likely to never be without a structure or ceiling to it and there will always be  clubs out there that will pay even more.

The only way to avoid this in the immediate future is if the City case against the PL removes the obstacles to associated party loans. Otherwise the PL will bring down the PSR hammer over wages and we'll end up selling players like Villa if we start handing out cartel size contracts.

Need to see more of that creativity when we've pinned teams back, and are trying to find an opening.

I didn't watch last season but so far this season part of the issue is teams aren't really being pinned back and attacks aren't really being sustained.

When Bruno gets on the ball 30 yards or so from goal something good usually happens but it doesn't happen enough for my liking, if it did I'm pretty sure a lot of the creation concerns would go away.

Annoyed me the commentary made a thing if him trying to "buy" that penalty when he was clearly having his arm pulled and held.

Superb recently feels like he drags us through tough spells like any good captain should. Seems to get everywhere always there for the ball it doesn't always work but its not always safe which is what the side needs.
