England’s Dan Burn - Signs Contract Extension until 2027 (Official)

Recommended Posts

Wish I could find it but after Southampton at home on the first day I said something along the lines of he embodied what it was like to be one of us with his performance putting everything on the line to get us over the line.

He's subsequently basically maintained that level all season. Immense.

Some (a lot of khackas) thought we should have replaced him 14 years ago.  These are people who know fuck all about football by the way.

Loved the close up of him before Bruno’s goal, yelling “Just give me the fucking ball!” 😂

Aye that was a great capture of him for a few seconds, he wanted it so much

Easily player of the season for me for numerous reasons.

Consistent in the heart of the defence.

Stepping up in the biggest game this season.

Being a leader on and off the pitch.

** Filling in for Botman when he probably wouldn't be in the first XI when everyone is fit.

Hard to drop him next season even when Botman is fit.

I remember thinking he should never play CB again after a couple horror shows in 23/24. Turns out all he needed was a run there towards the end of the season. Hall would have challenged had he not got injured but Burn is easily the most consistent, and to a high level.

Off the top of my head I can't recall a stinker from him. City and VIlla away were more tactical issues than anything else.

Probably our most consistant player, but Tonali has made a little more impact since he found his place imo.

Wouldnt mind either lf them getting player of the season with Murphy and Isak coming a little behind.

feels like ages ago but Isak was poor for the first 10 or so games of the season as well imo. Some of our performances back then were honking and he was a pretty big part of that, especially first 6 games where he only managed 1 goal.

Our massive win streaks when we are simply cruising through games are usually allways when he is in form. Just tells you how much his form matters. Yes, we've been doing allright lately, but nowhere near how we played in those winning streaks. It's a pretty high bar to match, mind.

Feels sly as fuck not giving player of the year to anyone other than the bloke who's got 24 goals but I honestly think Burn edges it this season. He's been an absolute mountain back there

If you asked Forest fans, I don't think Wood is even in the top 3.

Think it's between Burn, Tonali and Murphy for player of the season. Harsh on Isak but he's been poor for months now.

Think it has to be Burn for all the reasons that have been said. Hall was probably mine prior to his injury, but Burn's been a colossus for us all season long, even in the bad times.

200% player of the season. Not even in question which is radge given some players are comfortable 7s throughout.

Only player to perform as consistently well was Hall and he hasn't been fit for weeks now. Burn has played at about an 8+ for all but like one game (I think).

Burn made the goal with his run, leaving Gusto in no mans land.

Absolutely love that he made that run. Another CB would've moved back towards his own goal. Cracking attacking mentality.

Love owt like that.

I sure Burn said "Just give me the fuckin ball man" as he was waiting for the free kick.

Is it fair to say the Botman injury last year rescued his career? It was getting sad seeing him left-back starting to get torn apart by some pretty average RWs and mistakes creeping in. Ever since he's went back to LCB when Botman got the long layoff he's been absolutely outstanding.

Still think Tonali is player of the year, his introduction transformed our season.

My pick too, easily.
