Newcastle United 3 - 1 Everton (08/02/2022)

Still high as fuck after that [emoji38] So good to see us shake off the issue with seeing a game out and finish is comfortably, remember these were the type of games we used to blow big time? So excited for sunday now, just want to see more of Bruno

Fucking hell. 3 goals in a win, a win that is deserved and a game where we could and should have scored more. Forgotten what that feels like.

8 points from 12. Let’s hope we are turning the corner.

Dubravka - 6 Didnt have to do much, quick off his like well late on

Trippier - 9 absolutely brilliant performance

Schar - 7 Grew into game

Lascelles - 8 Unlucky for his own goal but made up for it and was back to what he used to be good at all action confident tackling

Target - 7 - Very solid

Joelinton - 7 - Lack of end product again comically shown but worked his socks off again, seemed to get better through game otherwise, as thought he was poor for some of first half

Shelvey - 6 Lucky to get 6 for the stupid could have been red tackle that led to their goal. Decent otherwise though

Willock - 6 Not good at keeping ball so frustrating but when everton were struggling and we were in front was good outlet

ASM - 9 Unplayable.

Wood - 5 Maybe unfortunate not to score but doesnt offer a huge amount unfortunately

Fraser - 7 Best game for us possibly with goal

Subs not on long enough for rating

How likely do you think it is that you go down? Can't see it personally but you look absolutely dreadful.

50/50.

In a game we couldn't lose, you won comfortably.

2nd half was as close to a surrender as you'll see. Not even remotely close to acceptable but just gets added to an increasingly long list of spineless surrenders this season.

This was an ideal morale booster for the new signings too, so it's a great win at the perfect time. Still lots of work to do but this is a huge step in the right direction and a solid standard to work from. Get the fuck in.
