On one hand he was expecting the same kind of relationship/access that WF appear to have with the Newcastle board while at the same time badmouthing them at every opportunity over there because they didn't acquiesce to his every request. The entitlement was off the charts, ended up in them disbanding before getting anywhere near what WF do.

They're at a buffet and just picking what's available to them. Even though the argument has value, it coming from them has none. They're partisans and it's nothing more than that. Chicken Dancer
If you'd asked 100 sunderland fans on Saturday if they'd rather go up and us win the cup, or stay down for another 10 year and us win nowt, we all know what the answer would have been for all 100. Best thing is they know more is coming and they're gonna have to live through it. They'll still be saying 'but but but we beat yous 6 times in a row marra' in 30 years time. Fucking glorious. Chris_R
Yeah you've just got to turn up to "give them a game". Technically it's not an incorrect statement. Also regarding the "It cost them £600m to win a third level cup" bit.... Lads, I've got news for you but it cost me nothing. I didn't pay any of that. Well maybe beyond normal ticket contributions etc, but I certainly haven't been landed with a 9-figure payment demand so that £600m number is not remotely my concern.
